Our Team

Susan is Founder and Executive Director of Compassionate Women Ministries, Inc.   She is an licensed minister who has served in ministry, leadership and various roles with non-profits for over 30 years.  She retired from the Department of Defense as a Human Resource Manager.  As a Christian Life Coach, she has spent many years ministering, teaching, facilitating and connecting with women from all generations. Her passion is to see broken women healed and restored through a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Her Christian journey has taken her into prisons, homeless shelters, churches, outreach centers, transition homes, community streets, and conference centers sharing a message of hope with women and their families.  The joy of her heart is her adult sons, grandchildren and family.  Her life-message is simple “Fall in love with Jesus Christ and your heart and life will forever be transformed”.  She's a beach lover who loves to make soaps and soy candles. 

Sharon Bennerman is a native of Fuquay Varina NC.  She has worked as a Property Manager for the past 25 years. Sharon attended The University of Phoenix where she graduated with BA in Business Management. She's also a county notary.  Sharon accepted the call into ministry in 2011 and was ordained as an Evangelist. Sharon enjoys meeting people and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that they can get hope and the abundant life that Jesus promised. She is not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She has seen the hand of God move in miraculous ways through prayer.  Sharon believes that ministry begins at home and spread abroad. Being on this journey has not been easy, but it is very rewarding, knowing that my labor is not in vain. Sharon enjoys the beach and spending time with her family.

Velma serves as Chairman of the Board Compassionate Women Ministries, Inc.  She and her late husband pastored churches for 28 years.  Velma is a licensed minister who has served in ministry for over 40 years.  She holds a Master of Arts in Education and Master of School Administration from East Carolina University, Greenville NC.  She is a retired educator and administrator.  Her missionary heart has taken her to various countries ministering the love and truth of God’s Word.   She is the owner of Trinity 3-N-1 a business that specializes in Inspiration Gifts.  She is a bible teacher, speaker and leader in her local church.  Velma’s greatest gifts of love are her daughter and grandson. In her free time, she loves traveling the globe.

Nicole serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Compassionate Women Ministries, Inc.  She is a proud veteran who served with the US Army for 26 years.  She still serves her country proudly as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Wake County Sheriff Office for the past 22 years.  Her favorite quote is "Giving God all the Glory"!.  Nicole's dream is to help others to know God and encourage them to do and be the best they can as she mentors and coaches them.  She holds a Bachelor Degree in Health Care Management.  As a Wedding Planner, her passion is to do destination weddings.  She loves to travel and is devoted to her family. 

Peggy McKimmy is an Inpatient Medical Coder for UNC/Rex Healthcare System.  She is a graduate of Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI and holds an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology from the school of Allied Health.  She maintains her (RHIT) Registered Health Information Technology credential through (AHIMA) American Health Information Management Association in Chicago, IL. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, biking, kayaking and outdoor yard games.  She currently resides in Raleigh, N.C.

Sandra serves as Treasurer for Compassionate Women Ministries.  Her gifts of administration and leadership truly enhance the dynamics of the Team.  As a leader in her local church, she serves in Global and Local Missions.  Sandra is passionate about serving others and supporting the community of Raleigh and it's surrounding areas.  Her heartfelt motivation is to coach and empower women to walk out their God-given destiny.  The joys of Sandra's life are her husband, four adult children and three grandchildren.

Deidra Jones was born and raised in the Washington D.C area where she attended an HBCU and earned her degree in Political Science.  She then moved to Michigan to study law.  Upon graduation from law school, she relocated to North Carolina where she earned her license to practice law.  She has served as a board member for The Arc of Wake County for over a year.   Deidra has a passionate heart for women and serves as a leader who ministers to women from all walks of life.  She's a movie lover who enjoys cooking, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
